THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
Encourage your student to meet regularly with their school counselor.
Register for the ACT and/or SAT (UA ACT code: 3338, UA SAT code: 1829).
Enroll your student in test-prep courses.
Discuss the college characteristics most important to your student.
Schedule your campus visits.
Talk to your student about their fields of interest and potential majors.
Set clear expectations regarding budget, location, and other college-decision factors.
Ready for Senior Year
Senior Year
SUMMER–FALL OF SENIOR YEAR
Starting August 1: Apply to UA.
Register for final ACT and/or SAT test dates.
September: Note college application deadlines and ACT/SAT score submission codes (UA ACT code: 3338, UA SAT code: 1829).
Starting October 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
By November 1: Apply to UA by this deadline to be considered for the most prestigous Williams Honors College scholarships.
By December 1: Submit your FAFSA for priority awarding of federal aid (UA’s school code: 003123).
TIP
Once your student is accepted, confirm their enrollment so you can move forward with housing, orientation, and more.
WINTER–SPRING OF SENIOR YEAR
January: Once your student is confirmed, you can submit a housing application.
January: Receive and review your student's UA financial aid letter via mail.
By February 1: Apply to UA for regular admission for the Williams Honors College by this application deadline.
By March 1: Apply to UA for consideration to all scholarships.
April: Begin applications for student loans as needed.
By May 1: Confirm UA enrollment by this deadline.
By May 15: Apply for priority on-campus housing by this deadline.
By July 15: Submit UA confirmation fee payment by this final enrollment deadline.
